My Sister In France!

Hi!

France?!?!? Yes, France! Though, she is not French. She was born and raised here. My oldest sister Danielle is 26 and is currently living in France..

Why you ask? Well, this story goes WAY back to January of 2011. Some friends of ours asked Danielle to move to Uganda with them. She was a nanny for their 3 kids. (the mom was actually pregnant with the third kid when they went, but she had the baby while Danielle was there.) She was there for a few months but then came back. Then last year she was talking to them and they said that they were moving to France to go to French school (the place where they’re going they need to talk French). And Danielle said jokingly “aww, wish I could go with you”. Soooooooo, a few days or so later they called her and asked her to come be the nanny for their 5 kids. She was so surprised. They wanted her to come for the whole year, but she couldn’t because she has a photography business. So she talked to a friend who she had just seen and had talked about both wanting to go to France some day. Well they both prayed about it and now they are both living in France!   2. This is so cool! What a fantastic opportunity. And thanks for sharing her blog, it’s truly beautiful and I can’t wait to follow along on her travel adventures.

    I would love to one day travel to both Ireland and Scotland. And then there’s Alaska– I would absolutely LOVE to travel there!!! ❤

    1. I would love to travel to Ireland, France and Italy! They are all beautiful places!

      Have you ever seen a movie where they filmed it in the place you want to go? Beauty and the Beast would be my one for France. And Leap Year for Ireland! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in Italy… 🙂

      1. I am sure there are movies filmed in both Scotland and Ireland that I’ve seen, but I can’t think of any at the moment.

        One movie filmed in Ireland that I like is Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. The Princess Bride is also filmed in Ireland (my brother loves that movie. Lol!). And of course Lassie. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Leap Year. I’ll have to look it up.

        For Scotland, I believe the rest of the Harry Potter movies were filmed there. Aside from that, I cannot think of any other movies I’ve seen that are filmed in Scotland.

        And lastly, Alaska. I think that the only movie I’ve seen filmed there is White Fang (it’s an old movie, from what I remember, and along the lines of Lassie).

        Another place that I thought of is New Zealand. It is so beautiful and I know for sure that filmed the Lord of the Rings there. I think it would be another great place to travel!

        I also love that Beauty in the Beast movie. France sounds and looks so pretty!

      3. Haha, I just realized that I opened my reply by saying, “I am sure there are movies filmed in both Scotland and Ireland that I’ve seen, but I can’t think of any at the moment.” Obviously I ended up thinking of some!

  4. That sounds super fun! I actually want to either live in/visit France! Next year we are required to take a language so I’m taking French. 😀
