Christmas time is here!

Christmas time is here………. so why not make christmas cookies?

The supplies you will need are a mixer, two bowls, dry measuring cups, measuring spoons, a couple of forks, a glass bowl (for the frosting), a spreader for the frosting, a rolling pin and some cookie cutters. (recipe at the bottom)

The ingredients for the cookies are butter (softened), granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt.

In a bowl cream the butter and the sugar. Then add the eggs and vanilla. In another bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet. Mix well, then separate the dough into quarters. Wrap each one up in plastic wrap, put in fridge for 2 hours. Set the oven to 400.

While you are waiting for the dough, start the frosting. The ingredients are powdered sugar, milk, honey, vanilla and food coloring. First mix powdered sugar, milk, honey and vanilla together. When it is mixed well put food coloring in. Add until it’s at the color you want.

When the dough has been in the fridge for 2 hours take it out and roll it out. Cut out any shape you want (I chose christmas cookies!) and put on a cookie pan (no spray needed).

Cook for 9 minutes or until the edges are light brown.

After taking the cookies out let them cool on a metal rack. After they are cooled spread the frosting on.

1 teaspoon baking powder.

For frosting:

1 cup powdered sugar.

2 tablespoons milk.

1/2 teaspoon honey.

1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

Food coloring.
